Election Time

There’s been a lot of election talk lately. Here’s the conclusion that I’ve come to:

  1. We need to vote for the candidate that will best support the principles found in the Bible.
  2. No matter who gets elected, life is going to be difficult.
  3. Christians have been through much worse than we will see in our lifetime and been just fine.

The point is, it doesn’t matter who wins this election. What matters is that Christians step up and serve God regardless of the surrounding circumstances.

Acts 5:41-42 — “So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name. And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they kept right on teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.”

NOTE THIS: after being whipped and beaten for preaching Jesus, these Christians went on their way and KEPT RIGHT ON teaching and preaching Jesus.

I would urge all of us to think and act the same way regardless of what direction our nation goes in after this election.

Remember this:

  1. Serve God no matter what circumstance you find yourself in.
  2. Keep our goal (heaven) in mind.
  3. Just be a good Christian.

Remember, I love you and God loves you.
